had a english workshop today we did some words ,which sound similiar like brooch and broach .. censor and censure etc.. then we did words like entourage emanciate encomium etc.. and made sentences out of these.. embellish ourselves in glory ...
complete problem solving part of the BRMs..finally.
then we had a workshop on numbers.. did question consisting of series like ..
1,3,6,10,15,21,.what is its general term... and how many terms will sum as 8436 as its sum.. ...etc... problems concerning consecutive primes..find the numbers x,y,z x^y^z will end in a number neither composite nor prime.. questions such as these..

okay another day.. ,went around 1 in the afternoon to study, solved some questions on numbers.. finding last two digits of 7777^777^77^7 .. .. well i did coordinate geometry ,felt like class 11th ,we had a englih class ,critical reasoning...etc .

discipline is the essence of the any preparation,and i have been going astray .. the routine i had has gone bad due to long hours watching world cup at night..

been a while since i wrote what all i have been studying for CAT. We started with grammer classes something we did long ago and we still don't understand that well,in english i am weak in sentence corrections.Even the word lists is long forgotten..kinda reminiscent of last year.. reading stuff on number theory congruences etc. better in maths.. solved brms of problem solving from ims.. though haven't attempted the test series.. but the concepts are in palce at most places .. thogh sometimes i go off.. or feel sleepy lethargic at the type of questions given in the brms..

had our GD session and general awareness session yesterday ,we were talking about sensex volatility.. i kinda started to speak about it and spoke open the S&P criteria.. for sensex the functioning of the sensex .. wiener models.. black scholes model of stocks etc.. talked about how commodity exchange markets futures forwards affect the sensex.. in short..
then back to BRM.. ims material..
quantative ..was oscillating studying from the bench and working on the board trying to solve questions .. etc... shivani and Anaha.. entered. with the books.. suprise. shivani offered me a sweet.. well we study everyday .. together in the same room.. nothing too big .. but felt nice.. little things can make a person smile..

another day of solving questions having 6-7 hours of studying ,problme solving sessions..
solved three chapters of the brm(did alligations mixtures ,time speed distance...and partnership based questions..what i realise these are more of multiples and factorization questions..).. did those coding questions based on letters and numbers.. better known as EJOTY questions.. LR part of CAT.. though i studied that in cryptography.. .. solved another assignment from 4-6.. then had coffee and saw someone from last year.. used to study... across the table in the library.. and i still don't know her name..

started like just another day got up late.. etc.. did chapters on races.. etc .. solved question on quant.. no of perfect squares in 1! 2!3!...14! ,find the remainder to 7^47/17 .. alot of questions on factors etc.. in the evening i met this old friend of mine..someone who inspired me a lot.. prabhdeep singh bedi.. a reserved guy.. really but very dear friend .. saw him after 5 years and trully it seems that the exile has ended..

well another day.. started.. with simutaneos equations ,quadratic equations and inequations..did the basic exercises of these today.. after that i went out to have coffee .. and started reading the john sculley novel about his experiences in Pepsi.. battle with Coca Cola..the Amercian icon.. after that i revised concept in DI.. 1/7,1/13 etc / percentages.. 19*21 = 399 ...
551 =29*19 .. how 3.26% of 551 =29 ..
went to insane thinking how they can multiply three primes and then ask us to find the prime number giving the other two percentages etc.. after that we had a class.. we applied the cubes into some places.. like

a new beginning..
a new morning..

well i reached the ims centre in the morning around 10:15 i thought i was late for gd we were suppose to have.. we had two topics one "should indiahost the olypic games in 2016" and "God is a woman" though both were cliched topics.. i understood that software designing etc is pretty similiar to a gd.. we break the key words into subclasses discuss the properties.. ,list the resources required.. time amout of work required... motivation etc.. and then do th work.. after that we had GK .. session discussing various recent happening anti-quota strikes Arcelor Mittal struggle.. it was nearly 2 and i was hunry by then.. went to barista ordered a cafe latte and a salmon sandwich..saw someone i knew there.. but i didn't know her.. guess just somebody who looked familiar.. anyways went back kept studying..did three chapters more from quant.. algebra so..was pretty easy.. talked to some people studying with me... then got tired by 5:30 and went to a frds place.. and we went out both of us. had rava dosa at sagar ratna.. saw some pretty faces.. discussed.. stuff.. our old friends and new.. met anuj a senior i had in pec.. he was back from greece.. cool i guess..
went back home around 9.. and time to call it a day..

same schedule though was late today.. did chapters on shares,profit loss.. and percentages..felt like increasing the schedule from 8 hours .. anyways.. still a long way to go.. have to increase my speed.. talked to a girl who is preparing for GMAT ..various colleges etc.. she talked of self altruism.. selfish behaviour.. aah..sometimes we lose faith in the good.. she talked that MBA implies money good job .. best position.. though i tried to make a point talking about the responsibility of a manager a leader has..i understood her position .. is honest.. to saythe least no hypocrisy..
had a englsih class.. did an assignment.. in the class. .made words with vowels.. pretty standard stuff except that.. vocab .. passages.. analogies .. did some words ..

well i started he morning trying to solve the prelim test i had given the day before..
looked at my OMR and found i had marked one quesion wrongly.. scored 39.66 in the first test ... 21.33 in english 5 in maths and 13.33 in DI.. let's see what happens.. working 8 hours a day.. did averages... percentages.. etc.. today.. practice practice.. anyways.. in the afternoon after some gruelling exercises .. i had a mango shake. .. and then went back and back to revising tables kept applying percentages.. reciprocals.. to make my calculatons faster.. need to do a lot more ..

we had our first english class today.. just had an introduction into basics.. coherently.. strategise.. retinue.. are some of the key words .. what a wedge means.. its means..a gap between .. my expectations and performance..

another day.. gone.. spent my date solving problems on number system.. gave brm test.. start with means ap,gp ..etc did exercises on hcf lcm.. etc..solved 22 problems on DI... loads of sily mistakes.. need to concentrate more.. learnt more about the power of numbers.. how 11 can make 726 look such a cool number.. 726/600 is nothing more than 11/10 sometimes ..how numbers don't lie.. how some people can make u think .. wow...how a simple honest try keeps u have faith.. inspite all odds.. how i have miles to go ..before i can understand the concept of neutrality..
went to cafe coffee day.. had chola batura for lunch..then went to the class..
did that question of weighinh pans.. and 17kgs mins etc.. 1,2,5 and 10... learnt about the digital root of a number.. how 888888 is divisble by 11,13 and 7 how 37*3 =111 and this can make 37 look good.. how to convert various bases..
met a old friend in the evening.. and learnt from him.. how much i still have to achieve..long night ahead..let's understand
